I’ve worked as a professional photographer since 2000 specialising in documentary and portrait photography.
My commissions have taken me around the world on assignments for charities including UNICEF, ActionAid and Sight Savers International alongside international media such as The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Times Magazine and Reuters.
My commissions have taken me around the world on assignments for charities including UNICEF, ActionAid and Sight Savers International alongside international media such as The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Times Magazine and Reuters.
At the centre of all my photography has been my fascination to capture people for who they are, whether in a corporate setting, at an event or at the heart of a documentary story. My friendly and sensitive approach has enabled me to put people at ease and and create images that feel natural and true to them.
Running parallel to my photojournalism, I work in the corporate sector shooting portraits, events and marketing assignments for client magazines and digital media. I work with companies to create imagery that tells the story of their brand and people. I also partner with copy and content writer Ian Valentine, to raise the profile of leadership teams through both words and images.
Now also a trained Natural Chef, I combine food photography with my documentary and portraiture work, looking behind the scenes at the people and companies that create delicious food. I collaborate with organisations that work on campaigns and advocacy around food policy and culture in the UK.
I have shown my work in more than a dozen exhibitions worldwide and it has been recognised by sixteen industry awards.
Having spent a number of years based in East Africa working on commissions across the continent, I now live near Bristol in UK. Throughout my career I have also run photography workshops for individuals and groups, as well as talking at seminars on the subject.
